DescriptionOsteological Collections ManagerDescriptionThe Anthropology Department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), is seeking an Osteological Collections Manager. This full-time, exempt position offers a starting salary of $50,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on education and experience. The Osteological Collections Manager is responsible for managing and stewarding the permanent osteological (faunal, modern human and primate) and paleoanthropological cast holdings of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Responsibilities will include creating and implementing collection policies and procedures; managing loans; monitoring the environmental conditions of objects and storage space; facilitating research requests; promoting and supporting collaborative research efforts with students, staff, and visiting researchers; managing and supervising volunteers and student workers/interns; and giving occasional tours of the osteological collections and presentations about the collections to students, staff, and visiting researchers.
