Accident and injuries can cause harm, result in lost time, and have a heavy financial impact. Responsibility for Accuracy: OSHA log errors, Workers' Compensation reporting errors, and clerical errors in emails, reports and presentations. Most errors should be caught by review of the employee. Frequency of verification should be at least monthly. Errors could result in violations and fines by regulatory agencies. These types of errors are not very likely and would have a minimal effect of the performance of the position. I recommend that the school institute a system of checks and balances to verify data on a regular basis. This position should help develop that system. Currently reside in the western region of the US, helpig to facilitate travel to our western region manufacturing facilities. 5 years of Hands-on experience overseeing, developing, implementing, and improving existing company EHSS programs policies, systems, and processes to ensure governmental and company compliance and create new programs that drive EHS excellence This role requires a bachelor's degree in a Safety, Environmental, Engineering, business, or related discipline or equivalent hands-on EHSS work experience in an industrial/manufacturing work environment. Relevant EHS certifications/training like GSP/ASP/CSP is preferred Must have basic knowledge of environmental & safety laws requirements within the United States and Canada to include ISO experience 14000, 9000, and 45000 Must be Aware of federal compliance OSHA/EPA and CCOHS/CEPA regulations and standards, SWPPP, EPCRA, EPA TIER II, basic industrial hygiene, conservation program, sustainability efforts, waste reduction Must have strong project management experience as you will lead EHS and sustainability teams regionally and manage/implement successful EHSS programs and initiatives What do we offer?
