Primary Function:  Performs detailed phases of design engineering work for a project of moderate size and complexity (e.g., assignment involving a single engineering discipline). The incumbent must be fully competent in all conventional aspects of design engineering and be capable of planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Primary Duties:  Determines client requirements and develops specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents. Reviews vendor drawings for major components. Job Summary The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the property is in excellent condition for our guests and Team Members so our guests have no worries while they are staying with us. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, and the Area Chief Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining all equipment, systems and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment. General Responsibilities Make effective judgments on the various aspects of general repairs and maintenance and effectively solve guest and operational problems.Broad working knowledge of HVAC, MEP and refrigeration systems, including repair, maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts.Work closely with Operations and Guest Service Manager to ensure coordination of activities.Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and on time by studying work schedules and estimating worker-hour requirements for completion.Listen to and promptly act to resolve guest problems and complaints.Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.Keeps Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :• Works to develop designs of more complex components or overall design of simple structures. • Completes design calculations by hand and by using various types of computer software as required. • Utilizes and applies requirements from IBC, ASCE-7, and material-specific codes into the design and construction documents. • Uses Revit to prepare BIM models and associated details and plan-work as part of the Contract Documents. • Reviews and implements red-line mark-ups from reviewing engineers and project managers. • Provides quality-control checks of one's own work. • Calculates and checks dimensions to verify contract documents match design.• Capable of designing full structural systems for projects of various sizes and materials.• Capable of completing full construction documents on small - medium sized projects. • Coordinates with clients on smaller projects from start to finish.• Provides field observation during construction. • Manages the construction administration process with minimal supervision. • Checks shop drawings and product submittals with review from Project Manager.• Trains and leads Engineer interns and structural designers.Required Education / Experience : • Has Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSCE/BSAE OR MSCE/MSAE) required• Has 2 - 4 years of previous engineering experience is a plus • EI or EIT Certification required• Literate in Revit Structures for modeling, producing plan work, details, notes and general editing. • Experience designing buildings from Schematic Design - Construction Administration. • Can manage and lead small projects from start to finish.• Working knowledge of common analysis and design methods• Working knowledge of the IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI and other material-specific codes is a plus• Working knowledge of computer analysis and design softwareCompensation starting at $60,000 annually with upward flexibility dependent upon skillset and experience. PRIMARY PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this position is to provide cost effective engineering support to the company sales efforts, including system design, developing sales quotes and performing project management activities.LOCATION:This position is based in Nashville, TN (not hybrid or work from home) and it requires approximately 35% travel. JOB DUTIES:• Work with sales personnel and/or directly with customers in the design and pricing of a system. (Meet with the customer as needed to determine exact needs; develop recommendations and prepare drawings according to accepted engineering principles.)• Operate CAD system to facilitate engineering drawings including but not limited to process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, equipment layouts and general assembly drawings.• Collect required data, size equipment, prepare necessary prints, estimate required resources, develop project costing, and prepare quotation. Present the project quotations to the customer and promote the sale of the project.• Brief Director of Engineering with outcome of presentation.• Upon being awarded the job, supply necessary documents to Project Coordinator to set up job, order equipment and materials required. Brief Director of Engineering on scope of project, review prints, and discuss any critical areas or concerns about the installation of the project. Work with Director of Engineering to schedule resources to complete job.• Provide technical support for inside and outside sales personnel, other associates and customers. Interpret and design large scale sanitary manufacturing and cleaning processes.• Coordinate the assignment of shop and field/installation personnel, materials and equipment for assigned and scheduled projects. Coordinate materials purchases with the material account personnel.• Oversee major installations through regular site visits. Insure that the project is completed according to the customer's satisfaction and that all specifications as presented have been fulfilled. Issue change orders when required, update prints as needed. Provide documentation as requested by customer.• Be available for new process start up and checkout as needed.• Select material suppliers that can best meet the requirements of each particular application at the most reasonable cost.• Visit and assist customers during equipment breakdowns to provide technical support and coordinate repairs.• Act as a knowledge and experience resource for more junior engineering staff.• Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:• Job duties require a four-year college degree (preferably in Engineering) or equivalent.• PREFERED Professional Licensed PE• Willing to travel 35% +/- of the time• 3 -5 years of previous technical/engineering experience in the sanitary fluid process industryM.
