Primary FunctionAs the Sr. Project Engineer New Product Development (Heat Pump), you will recommend and/ or support field installation of released water heater designs and hot water supply systems for commercial applications. In addition, you will review new water heater designs from the perspective of system installations and apply field installation knowledge to new products or make design changes to existing products. Responsibilities for Internal CandidatesArconic Inc.'s Tennessee Operations is seeking an experienced and talented Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer for our Tennessee Operations facility. The incumbent will provide engineering support and leadership of the site Crane and below-the-hook device engineering and safety programs, leadership of the Crane Inspection Crew, and engineering support to maintenance and operations beyond helping to restore flow. The successful incumbent will also provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities. This person will also develop, manage and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some mechanical engineering support to all manufacturing and plant areas.Qualifications for Internal CandidatesBasic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.• Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience with mechanical systems, to include overhead gantry cranes, facilities and industrial infrastructure, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.• Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:• Minimum of 8 years' experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.• Minimum of 5 years' experience in equipment and component failure analysis.• Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience.• Engineering experience with cranes, hoists, rigging and below-the-hook lifting devices in heavy industrial environment.• Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment (rolling mills and material handling equipment preferred).• Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.• Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial systems and equipment, including cranes, lifting and material handling, pumping, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.• Working knowledge of crane engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specifications.• Strong mechanical and structural engineering skills.• Strong mechanical engineering, maintenance and reliability background.• Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.• Strong mechanical engineering skills.• Understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.• Strong written and oral communications skills.• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.

Senior Product EngineerSUMMARY: The Senior Product Engineer will have the opportunity to join a team working on products for a quickly growing business segment. They will be developing new technology and new applications of existing technology. They will run a lab for prototyping, reliability and research related to Powerex products.
