Inventory Control Manager

DescriptionManager, Inventory Control, Vendor Management & Supplier Diversity As Manager, you will use your expertise to drive the effective management of company owned inventory, and vendor management for the organization in partnership with IT, Fleet Services and Operations. This includes working with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify strategic providers, while supporting complex contract negotiations and vendor relationships. Candidate will manage vendors and will serve as the escalation point for vendors not meeting expectations, support the periodic vendor review process, and ensure vendor compliance with negotiated contract stipulations. The Manager will also define Key Performance Indicators to measure vendor performance, provide vendor spend and quality reporting and assist with rationalizing the category management vendor landscape. Manager will develop reporting and lead strategic vendor quarterly business reviews. What You Get to Do: Partner with IT, Fleet Services and Procurement on negotiations with vendors. Assess Vendor portfolio to determine if we have the right vendors, and right mix of vendors. Identify contract parameters that may require renegotiation and/or restructuring. Actively solicits, mentors, and works to improve Artera's portfolio of diverse business suppliers while increasing DBE spend year over year by measure targets. Leverage market intelligence and value analytics to ensure Artera partners with the best vendors for our business needs. Monitor and report on vendor spending to leadership. Provide ongoing vendor performance metrics, in partnership with IT, Fleet Services, Operations and Procurement, with Leadership team. Partner with vendors to identify cost savings and ideas for innovation. Qualifies vendors based on risk, security posture, cost, and quality (total value add). Develop a clearly defined strategic vendor review process to be executed on a periodic basis with identified vendors. Identifies and realizes cost savings by consolidating. services and leveraging Arteta's consolidated spend. Partners with stakeholders on RFPs, RFI's and other competitive bids. Works with Legal and Risk to ensure contracts are protective and best in class. While working with Legal and Risk, owns vendors Certificates of Insurance (COI's) for compliance. Manage vendor payment terms. Manages product and service contracts from beginning to end including enforcement of all contract stipulations. Monitor contract performance for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including follow-up checks for corrective action. Administer contract change management and contract closure. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications regarding contract activities with key stakeholders. What You Bring to the Table: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. Experience in the oil and gas industry. Working knowledge of PVF, Yellow Iron and Rolling Stock. Knowledge of Supplier Diversity programs and DBE suppliers. Experience with data, analytics, and ability to prepare forecasts of spend, usage and leakage using excel and other tools. Superior data visualization skills and PowerPoint, with an ability to identify the crucial operational or financial metrics, or Key Performance Indicators, (KPIs) and provide meaningful reports to various internal and external stakeholders. Experience in defining/improving business processes. Inventory Control/Supply Chain acumen - Fundamental understanding of how supply, demand, and effective management of inventories can minimize costs, optimize sourcing strategies, maximize existing assets, and improve customer satisfaction while delivering procurement execution support in a timely manner. Successful track record of managing complex inventories (company and customer owned) across multiple locations and reporting, and successful interdepartmental coordination.
