Position Overview This position will manage compensation and benefit plans and programs within CRH Americas Materials- West Division, and functions as a liaison between Corporate Compensation/Benefits and local HR, Management and Benefit Administrators to provide support on compensation philosophy and benefit oversight. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Supervisor of West Division Benefits Manager Act as mentor and resource to West Division Benefits Manager: Improve employee experience with Benefits by serving as the escalation point for employee benefit issues, providing a high level of customer service and expressing empathy to employees Improve understanding of Benefits by conducting training with HR, management, payroll, and employees Manage periodic audits of benefits systems, 401(k) testing, prescription claim inquiries, FML claims matters, eligibility issues, WC claims and inquiries Oversee follow up and appeals for Wellness Initiative Credit Act as West Division Compensation Manager: Manage the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs and incentive plans Use and present data to monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations Oversee the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations. Manage and work with Division/Region HR teams on merit increases, incentive compensation (IC) and annual compensation cycle utilizing multiple programs, uploads, presentations and communications, review and approval, changes and coordination with Region, Division and National Team. Supervisor of West Division Data Manager Act as mentor and resource to the West Division Data Manager Monitor accurate, consistent and updated data exchange and timeliness between systems and data Oversee and manage People Powered Recognition Program Due diligence for compensation and benefits analyses when assisting in acquisitions Other duties as directed by management Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline 5+ years demonstrated experience working as a Total Rewards Manager or Compensation and Benefits Manager; or HR Manager with emphasis is compensation and benefits MS Word/Excel expertise Work Requirements Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required- Approximately 10% travel mostly within Division Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
