Expertise is required in the specific area of Primary Care for all ages and genders. Additional expertise in Hospital Medicine, Obstetrics, Addiction Medicine or Sports Medicine is welcomed based on availability of positions, but not required for all roles. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate should be Board certified in Family Medicine; Fellowship training or CAQ optional based on individual candidate.Teaching responsibilities may include participation in the education of Family Medicine residents, medical students, and interdisciplinary learner teams.Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient care in a busy academic practice, caring for a racially and gender diverse patient population. Job SummarySt. Christopher's Hospital for Children is recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for our Northeast Pediatric Practice. In this position the nurse practitioner will practice at the highest level of their license as an independent provider managing their own patient panel. The Northeast Pediatric Practice located in northeast Philadelphia, Krewston area, is a busy, diverse patient-focused practice serving the pediatric patients in the area. The practice has a long history in the area, seeing second generation patient families. Supported by an established team of physicians and medical office support staff, the nurse practitioner will feel confident providing general pediatric care to their patients. Nurse Practitioners will average 3-4 patients per hour treating cases such as flu, colds, stomach aches, ear infections, skin infections, and respiratory problems. Additionally, the nurse practitioner will conduct behavioral evaluations - ADHD and autism, hearing & vision screenings, immunizations, and physical exams. The nurse practitioner will participate in the call coverage of the practice. The practice operates Monday - Friday, and Saturday mornings. Each provider works one evening per week and rotates office time on Saturdays every 5th Saturday.
