Job Summary The Lead Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for administering our EBS environment (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable). This position will be responsible for creating new and modifying existing complex allocations ensuring data integrity, research, database and financial report troubleshooting. This position is responsible for owning tools (EBS, GL wand) and the patching, testing, upgrades, and training for those tools. This position will also own several audit controls and interface with internal and external audit. The Lead Financial Systems Analyst reports directly to the Director of Financial Systems. The department interacts actively with the various functional areas in the company both in order to obtain input for its analysis and reporting, and to provide output and comments for other department's reporting initiatives, including recommendations for improvements in reporting controls and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities Design, development and implementation of software programs for Oracle EBS, specifically General Ledger, Payables and Assets. Develop information and analysis in support of management reporting including the development of new reports and recommendations for enhanced reporting. Identifies process improvements with a focus on improved quality, efficiency or controls. Prepare analysis of financial data related to operations, business performance, opportunities and investments. Leads projects defined as Corporate/Finance objectives for the Finance department. Mentor finance members in the development/implementation of data collection and reporting initiatives. Summarize and escalate significant data reporting issues and bugs as required. Provide backup to financial systems team members (interface support, database management), to ensure the accuracy and availability of critical financial database applications. Create and maintain documentation on system / reporting environment for internal team use. Work with Financial Systems team members to maximize Oracle, Tableau and other financial systems reporting and accounting functionality and capabilities. Lead efforts to work cross functionally with Finance, Tax, Actuarial, Investment and Accounting teams to develop effective reporting and delivery of data and analysis in order to improve the entire organizations functionality and effectiveness. Manage working relationships with IT staff and Third-Party Administrators to maintain an efficient and stable Oracle environment. Work with the business to derive business requirements, contributes to solution design, prototyping, testing, and deployment of Configuration/Customization, Extension, Modification, Localization and Integration (CEMLI) and Forms customizations to Oracle EBS and performs application configuration in support of the stated business requirements and solution designs. Provide technical support for the Oracle infrastructure management, including allocation development, maintenance and troubleshooting. Provides functional subject matter experience, and application development support for the Oracle EBS implementation, enhancements and upgrade projects. Translate business and functional requirements into technical approach, solution, and technical design specifications. Analyze and troubleshoot complex system and user issues, coordinate issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as needed.
