The position requires strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and process design preferably with municipal systems. Position requires experience with management of both public and private projects, with a focus on local municipal and quasi-governmental (e.g. water/sewer authorities) clients. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office software. Experience with InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software by Innovyze is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and P.E. required. Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Masters in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer required.Experience: 7+ Years experience working with the design of municipal water/wastewater projects.Skills: Has the ability to analyze, coordinate and manage several large or complex projects at one time. The ability to manage and develop project staff, while supporting and evaluating each individual towards achieving their maximum potential. Ability to complete projects successfully, on-time, on-budget, given administrative high-level supervision in terms of broad objectives and limits. SENIOR WATER RESOURCES PROJECT MANAGER Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a Senior Water Resources Project Manager located ideally in Savannah, GA. Office location may be flexible dependent upon experience level. The ideal candidate will help grow our water resources department as part of a multi-discipline engineering office with strong public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be well-versed across the water resources discipline with demonstrated design and management experience in stormwater master planning, drainage and stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and permitting with the supporting capabilities to perform a variety of design tasks in the general civil engineering field. Typical Duties Include: Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment. Ability to manage multiple design assignments, including proposal development, scope and fee development, project management, developing/maintaining project schedules. Coordinate with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies, project stakeholders and other T&H staff from multiple locations and technical disciplines Management and execution of watershed studies, stormwater master plans, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis (1D/2D modeling), drainage design, stormwater management design, erosion, and sedimentation control / NPDES permitting, and design/inspection of traditional and innovative LID infrastructure and SWM BMPs in both urban and rural environments. Perform and manage a variety of water resource related studies, FEMA Letter of Map Changes, and capital improvement design projects. Provide oversight and effective mentoring of team members. Monitor the scope of work and fees during project progress.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Prepare, submit and monitor annual budget for department (If applicable)Review monthly revenue/expense reports and evaluate department expenses for cost control program implementation and tracking.Manage designated staff to ensure scheduling of the FTD(s) maintenance and/or regulatory qualification events with Center Manager or Customer SupportOversee, or delegate (if applicable), additional administrative procedures to include review/approval of time sheets, vacation schedules, disciplinary actions, etc. in accordance with FlightSafety International policy.
