Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven Land Survey and Drone Program Manager in Savannah, GA. Responsibilities include: Manages and coordinates surveys and investigations of land surfaces and prepares Topographic Maps, Boundary Adjustments, Subdivision Maps, Records of Survey and Legal Descriptions. Responsible for data collection at Industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Experience/knowledge of operating and understanding multi-rotor, fixed wing drones, LiDAR and photogrammetry principles as well as mission planning is a plus. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements including boundary calculations and legal ownership issues Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget Acts as advisor to the engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of Land Surveying Relies on experience, knowledge, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a highly professional manner Performs a variety of complex tasks relating to Boundary and Topographic Surveying and Mapping Perform drone ortho-image and topographic surveys. Leads and directs field survey crews and survey techniciansMinimum Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Land Surveying, Subdivision Mapping, Topographic Mapping and writing legal descriptions Proficiency in the operation of Carlson Survey and GPS Equipment Current Licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Registration: Ability to obtain Georgia Professional Land Surveyor Registration Required Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required The ability to work a regular schedule of 730AM - 530PM Mon-Thurs and 730AM - 1130AM Fri Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks Highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player Ability to solve problems Excellent time management skills Please note, sponsorship is not available for this position.
