We are searching for a Project Controls Specialist II for a 1 yr. contract assignment. Exciting to watch the change to renewable generation with brand new renewable plants. The person in this role will be providing cost tracking/cost forecasting on the major projects within energy supply which ranges anywhere from coal to gas, wind, solar and battery. This role could be described as more of an analyst position or construction accountant.The person will work alongside the project managers to keep track of the project financials, the health of those financials and the project by submitting monthly forecasts accruals. Historically, these roles have been cost or scheduling focused. This role is on the cost side; however, the manager is open to seeing both cost and scheduling experience. Possible for contract extension.Location: Minneapolis, MN or Denver, COHybrid: 1 day in the officeResponsibilitiesThe person will work alongside the project managers to keep track of the project financials, the health of those financials and the project as a whole by submitting monthly forecasts accruals.This person would be responsible for driving/managing their own tasks/workload.Attending project meetings, (most of which are virtual) to keep up on what's going on with the project. The work is cyclical depending on the day of the month; the beginning of the month is our month end close in which this resource will be working on forecasting, reconciling the actuals from last month.During the middle of the month, the person will be focused on attending those project meetings and staying up to date with things that are moving around in the project, whether it's cost related or not.The busiest times would be that last week of the month and first week of the month.
