Provides documentation, including test reports and service summary to customer. Instructs customers and personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment. Performs warranty work and start-up service. Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams and test instruments/equipment. Provides technical support in product service, product training and applications. Analyzes complex problems in equipment and machinery and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct the faults. Consults with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to complex problems in system operation. Reports customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist. Assists in the development of design modifications. Implements modifications and provides installation support for the modifications. Develops and implements training courseware and provides training to customers and other service representatives. Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships with regards to all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance. Maintains service equipment, tools and documentation. This includes the ability to understand the spoken and written word as well as speak in English. Travel: 50%Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Contributes to Field Services small projects coordination and execution on customer site (end of life, modernization, upgrade, etc.). Provides support to Level 2 and Level 3 FSRs as it pertains to removal of electrical equipment. Interprets blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements. Performs basic audits of customer's electrical systems and equipment. Documents all required information for each site (technical report). Communicates with Project Coordinator to ensure smooth execution. This will include interpreting field gas historical records and drafting of final “as built” record. The position will aid in cataloging and improving the processes of historical record updates. Additional roles and responsibilities include drafting of mechanical, civil and/or electrical designs related to capital projects for the gas transmission system. Drafting is performed in 2D utilizing plan, profile, section and detail views. A strong sense of organization and drafting techniques in adherence with company and industry standards is required. Understanding of piping systems and civil designs such as site development, Maintenance and Protection of traffic, etc., is preferred. Interfacing with other gas organizations to facilitate drafting of designs as necessary. **Key Accountabilities** Interpretation and drafting of historical file updates and “as built” for new and existing system modifications. Detailed mechanical design to define mechanical requirements for new and upgrades to various gas facilities through the development of physical piping and conduit drawings, P&IDs, RTU cabinets, PLC wiring, regulator tubing, and flow diagrams for gas projects. Preparation of drawings for field mounted and panel mounted instruments and controls, such as pressure and temperature transmitters, control valves, actuators, controllers, I/Ps, data recorders, gas analyzers, and flow meters. Develop instrumentation installation and wiring drawings applying appropriate instrumentation details for mechanical cabinets, telemetry cabinets, and tubing. Knowledge and ability to draft Civil Site Plan, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic and other civil details as necessary. Apply recommended practices, industry codes, standards, and regulations as required toward work assignments. Ensure that electrical designs comply with industry codes and standards. Provide support during construction and start-up of projects and assistance to operating departments and engineers as required. Walk down of systems to insure as-built status and perform historical as-built drawing revisions as required. Act as a drawing checker to insure quality and consistency of drawings issued for construction. Work with engineers, management, and other regions and departments to develop best practices regarding drawing appearance and content, CAD software and settings and document management systems. Entry of design drawings, historical files and modification of historical files in Opentext. **Qualifications** In-depth knowledge and technical experience in drafting and design of process piping, civil site plan, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic and electrical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD software required. (Currently using 2023 and greater release). Minimum of 6 years of experience in design and drafting of mechanical piping and electric systems and station piping drawings is preferred. Included experience in site development and Maintenance and Protection of traffic is preferred. Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Detailed knowledge and understanding of document management systems and standards. Detailed knowledge of OpenText system, user interface and entry of data.
