You will ensure that AP Program policies, processes, information, and resources are communicated clearly, accurately, and consistently.In this role, you will:Content Development and Management 50%:Manage and collaborate with Program Staff and Subject Matter Experts on the creation and development of new and revised curriculum and assessment products and publications for select AP classesImplement and adhere to processes and timetables, editorial guides, review and quality control protocols, and other standards needed to ensure uniform and high-quality product development and deliveryProvide guidance on design and formatting of publications as needed; previous experience using Adobe InDesign is strongly preferred.Develop standards and enforce consistency in instructional practice, structure, design and terminologyProject Management 50%:Work with other teams across the AP division in developing requirements and resources to ensure alignmentEnsure all products are fair, bias-free, and in alignment with AP Course and Exam Descriptions (CEDs) and other relevant documents and standardsAssist in a variety of program management tasks related to AP publications and communications, including tracking and monitoring program publication budgets; coordinating program components with other departments/divisions/consultants; preparing reports and recommending adjustments in policies and procedures, and supporting efforts to continuously improve communications planning, content development, and production and distribution processesAbout YouYou have:Minimum of four years effective and relevant work experience in publishing in an editorial or design capacityExperience in managing content across multiple channels (print and digital media) preferredExperience in the development of curricula or instructional materialsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational, time and task management skills and the ability to move forward multiple projects in concert while meeting timelines, both independently and as a member of the teamAdept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-personBachelor's degree in Communications, Publishing, English or related fieldWillingness to travel 3-5 times per year or < 15% for in-person meetings/gatheringsAuthorized to work in the United States About Our ProcessApplication review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filledWhile the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise and/or panel interview, and reference checks.
