DescriptionPosition Summary: Market Range 10Position will serve as project manager for a grant-funded project in the College of Education, Health, & Human Sciences (CEHHS) at UTK.  The project involves conducting evaluations of statewide literacy initiatives.  This position will work with the Principal Investigator to coordinate research activities among team members and at the participating school or community organization sites.  The position will have knowledge of developing and managing web-based instructional and educational measurement tools, monitoring the fidelity of classroom implementation, and training student staff on administering and scoring assessments.  In addition, the position will need to ensure team compliance with university, school district, and funding agency policies.  This is a 100% grant / soft funded position.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Skills in applying project management principles, methods, and practices.  Analytical skills.  Ability to understand and oversee technical design and implementation of digital tools, web applications, and learning management systems.  Skill in researching and analyzing complex problems and developing innovative solutions.  Ability to develop and present clear, concise management reports.  Skills as an effective leader.  Ability to delegate responsibilities and to hold others accountable.  Strong organizational skills.  Ability to plan, prioritize, and balance workload on concurrent projects.  Ability to collaborate and consult with others.  Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.  Excellent communication and writing skills.  Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of educational and/or literacy research.
