Provides WIC staff relief in various Marion County WIC clinics.Associated Job Duties• Performs all duties of a Competent Professional Authority (CPA).• Provide Leadership for clinic staff.• Assist with weekly scheduling of assigned staff.• Direct team in times of staff shortages.• Assist with the Input and maintaining INWIC scheduler.• Collect monthly data and input monthly reports including, but not limited to, Site statistics, Nutrition Stats, etc.• Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures established by IDOH/WIC and those of HHC/MCPHD.• Serve as contact for supplies, ordering, inventory (both BF and non-BF) and tracking of breast pumps.• Ensure clinic specific administrative counts (i.e. hemoglobin, lead sticks and RICOH/copier) are reported timely to WIC Office Coordinator.• Provide CLIA training for staff and assist with orientation/training for clinic staff.• Attend scheduled meetings, including but not limited to, team meeting and one-on-one meetings.• Lead clinic/team meeting, prepare meeting agenda and ensure meeting minutes are recorded.• May assist WPM with completion of staff evaluations.• Report to assigned WIC Program Manager (WPM).• Maintains confidentiality of all client records and information as specified by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability of Act of 1996.• Trained at the appropriate National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ISC) level.• Participate in the response to public health emergency exercises and in the response to public health emergencies, as directed.• Participates in a minimum of two H.O.P.E. events totaling a minimum of eight (8) hours annually.• Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Nutrition related field, Nursing with background in Nutrition, or equivalent educational experience.Licenses/Certification, either required upon hire: Registration as Dietitian by the American Dietetic Association, RN license by the Indiana Professional License Agency Board of Nursing.Access to reliable transportation for in-state travel, valid Indiana driver's license.WIC experience for a minimum of 1 year.Preferred Marion County Public Health Department WIC experience, but not requiredLicenses/Certifications RequiredLicenses/Certification required upon hire: Registration as Dietitian by the American Dietetic Association or RN license by the Indiana Professional License Agency Board of NursingAccess to reliable transportation for in-state travel, valid Indiana driver's license preferred Marion County Public Health Department WIC experience, but not required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of social and culture backgrounds as they relate to proper nutrition.Strong organizational skills.Ability to:Evaluate and prepare diet plans for program participants.Analyze and evaluate nutrition data and services.Work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team.Communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.Prepare nutrition education materials.Evaluate eligibility via criteria for the IN WIC program.Working EnvironmentTravel required between various program locations.Exposure to communicable illness and disease due to direct and frequent client contact; and possible participants under stress.Some physical effort associated with lifting and carrying supplies.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.Nearest Major Market: Indianapolis
