Ardurra seeks an experienced CAD Technician to join our team. Primary Function: Candidate would use CAD equipment/software to provide support to engineers by setting up CADD projects for process mechanical exhibits for reports and design drawings for construction. Specific drawing types would include routine process instrumentation diagrams, hydraulic profiles, mechanical room plans, equipment layouts, mechanical sections, piping plans and sections, isometric drawings, and standard details. Project types for which drawings would be developed include Process Mechanical construction (primarily water treatment, wastewater treatment, and pumping stations) associated with civil, water process, and environmental development and municipal projects, civil/mechanical improvements to treatment facilities or industrial projects, etc. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Primary Duties: Responsible for setting up and managing CADD projects. Design of CADD process mechanical plans and sections, design dimensional layouts for equipment and process piping, and drafting requirements of any project assigned. Responsible for CADD projects, plotting, quality control, and checking complete sets of drawings. Make required modifications to drawings on any project. Candidates should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and construction drawings. Candidate should possess water process mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. Technical capacity and ability to visualize civil, structural, and mechanical elements in 2-D and 3-D viewpoints and capable of designing / drafting in 2-D software and 3-D modeling in Revit or similar software. Good communication & collaboration skills. Problem solving and analysis skills. Responsible for batching sets of drawings and associated documentation. Assistance with production development, including the printing and binding of plans packages. Assisting in establishing/improving CADD standards and utilizing these standards to minimize hours required. Will perform other duties as may be assigned by Area CADD Manager. Technical Responsibilities Prepare and manage CADD projects from preliminary to final drawings, mechanical equipment layouts, plans, sections, profiles and exhibits from engineering sketches, verbal instructions, specifications and supporting documentation according to latest company, industry and client standards using AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. Assist Engineers with collecting field data and applying it to design drawing and exhibits Ensure accuracy of drawings and maintain production schedules Work with other CADD Technicians and Engineers and be part of a design team Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to communicate with team members Maintain soft and hard copies of all project related documents per the company filing system. Research, understand, and apply published CADD and Design standards applicable to work assignments Assist staff and management as a technical specialist with other duties as assigned. POSITION SUMMARY Troubleshoot, test, and inspect electrical apparatus. Perform as "lead" person on projects. Perform other assignments as required. Position requires some technical supervision. We are looking for Project Engineer in our Dallas, TX market. Job Summary: This project engineer is to be involved with the implementation and installation of capital equipment and facilities which include all phases from specification, design, and purchase through cost control. This position provides engineering expertise to aid the plant engineering and maintenance department, process/development engineering, and/or operating departments in the solution of technical problems. Technical assistance will be manifested in manufacturing equipment/facilities refinement and optimization. A practical level of understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering principles are to be applied to assigned project work. Key systems to be delivered include overall piping and instrumentation and process designs to facility systems supporting manufacturing locations. Individual is to be provided with moderate task definition, supervision, and technical/process-related advice throughout the execution of assignments. Typically, some but minimal overall project responsibility will be delegated. Duties and Responsibilities: * Recommend, specify, and procure facilities and equipment for implementation of projects. * Size, calculate, and design facilities and equipment to insure proper application * Develop accurate cost estimates and schedules to control costs and provide for timely completion of projects * Install and start up equipment, provide field supervision, and follow up to complete facilities in a timely manner * Provide project documentation (Scope, budget, purchase orders, contracts, reports) to maintain good records and data for similar future projects * Leads the deployment of best practice process improvement methodologies across the Plant. * Ability to train and lead improvement activities with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineering department. * Introduces process improvements to maximize output, efficiency, and to reduce cost. * Develops new systems to improve workflow * Fixes process defects * Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping * Supervision of draftsmen, technicians or engineers assigned to projects as required * Travel to vendor facilities to evaluate their technical capabilities, etc. * Develops, executes, and supports multiple plant projects.
