Duties and Responsibilities: * Recommend, specify, and procure facilities and equipment for implementation of projects. * Size, calculate, and design facilities and equipment to insure proper application * Develop accurate cost estimates and schedules to control costs and provide for timely completion of projects * Install and start up equipment, provide field supervision, and follow up to complete facilities in a timely manner * Provide project documentation (Scope, budget, purchase orders, contracts, reports) to maintain good records and data for similar future projects * Leads the deployment of best practice process improvement methodologies across the Plant. * Ability to train and lead improvement activities with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineering department. * Introduces process improvements to maximize output, efficiency, and to reduce cost. * Develops new systems to improve workflow * Fixes process defects * Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping * Supervision of draftsmen, technicians or engineers assigned to projects as required * Travel to vendor facilities to evaluate their technical capabilities, etc. * Develops, executes, and supports multiple plant projects. **Open on pay - depends on experience but will stay competitive**The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for reviewing production schedules, specifications, and orders as well as developing and implementing process improvements. Will act as a link between manufacturing/production and engineering.RESPONSIBILITIES Manufacturing Engineer position supports the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, techniques, processes, and tooling on fabricated parts, cast, and machined components, subassemblies, and final productsDevelop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure cost effective and safe assembly, testing, quality and inspection of productsPerform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including, production flow, assembly methods and production equipmentRefine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing principles and techniques to areas of productionIdentify opportunities for improving products or reducing costs by implementing or modifying fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, product design, materials and partsDevelop and complete manufacturing documentation (FMEA, control plan, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans)Resolve problems and provide guidance to the production teams through the application of technical knowledge, data analytics, research, and acquired expertise.
