This position will be recognized as a leader in the organization, an influence of a culture of incident and injury free workplace (IIF).DUTIES:Leadership and Quality Engineeringo Implements and manages quality plan to ensure alignment to strategic targets and goals.o Mentor, coach, and monitor quality assistants, provide support and assistance when required.o Supports manager in developing strategy, identifying potential future quality projects and activities, also supporting Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation.o Leads and models best practices in completing quality initiatives for the site. o Lead quality-related incident investigations utilizing appropriate investigative tools (i.e., 8D, A-3, 5Y) from root cause identification to corrective action assignment, and implementation.o In collaboration with Process Engineering, Production, Quality team members, write detailed technical inspection & testing work instructions, visual boards, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).o Support the ongoing development of our quality program and standards to all departments with specific focus on engineering support and requirements.o Support continuous improvement initiatives and apply VSM and SPC as appropriate.o Support HSE safe work practices and standards.o Issue, monitor, maintain and close CAR/NCR to ensure effective close loop corrective action methodologies and provide leadership and support to all A3 development teams.o Perform/support supplier audits, evaluations and strengthen relationships as required with SQA objectives.o Develop, train, implement and support SPC initiatives, FMEA, R&D lifecycle.o Develop and monitor for improvement system tools: NCR/CAR/SCAR/NCM & document control.o Coordinate quality-related Corrective/Preventative Action System activities.o Assist in UL certification activities and audits.o Support departments with guidance and training of ERP quality-related processes.o Participate in the coordination of training and educational programs appropriate to the quality assurance needs of the company.Quality Execution o Acts as first point of contact for any escalation of quality issues and problems at site level.o Audit facilities and work being performed for QMS compliance, write audit reports, and conduct follow-up on corrective actions until closure.o Control manufacturing product quality through implementation of in-line quality process controls/measures, statistical process control plans, Lean, and Six Sigma. o Administer and provide training on the QMS elements.o Support development of and audit material testing and analysis of results. o Collect data on relevant quality performance indicators, scorecard, metrics development. o Comply with all operations and Quality related processes.Project Supporto Collaborate with other departments through cross-functional teams and meetings.o Perform technical quality system training for other departments.o Perform special inspections & testing as needed.o Provide Quality expertise in defining project goals and execution measurements.o Other duties as assigned.Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE)o Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations and ensuring a culture of safety.o Lead and model safety culture and behavior across the organization.o Mentor and discipline Quality team members in line with safety policies and guidelines.REQUIREMENTS:• 3 to 5 years' experience in manufacturing industry, engineering design and QC.• Holding Bachelor's degree in Engineering.• Strong computer literacy: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, VISIO & some CAD knowledge would be an asset.• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF16949 is preferred.• Knowledge of ISO14001 & ISO45001 HSE compliance standards and regulatory is preferred.• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.• Strong knowledge of MSA calibration requirements/17025 lab and skilled in use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, pi tapes.• Strong Failure Mode & Effects Analysis FMEA/DFMEA, Lifecycle process trained.• An awareness of safety practices associated with manufacturing organizations. • Strong oral and written communication skills.• Experience in quality control inspections
