Working with internal stakeholders and vendor(s) to coordinate system improvements, upgrades, defect mitigation and testing of new releases. Providing training to the organization including functionality, processes, and roles and responsibilities. Analyzing complex issues and developing actionable recommendation; ensuring decisions impacting the team and the FirstEnergy enterprise are based on data and sound reasoning. Developing, documenting, and implementing business processes as appropriate to insure consistent, sustainable operations of the OTCM systems. Providing services to help maintain the integrity of substation equipment configuration and related data in the OTCM systems. Providing system database, data analytics and reporting support. Supervising day-to-day production support activities including importing field-testing results, linking assets between systems, and help desk support. Leading process improvement activities that increase productivity and enhance data quality. Working with approximately 800+ FE OTCM users. Compliance: Providing business administration services necessary to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Protection and Control (PRC) and internal standards. Participating in change control activities for scheduled maintenance releases. Providing oversight and business administration of user access to sensitive applications; Managing user access through RAAD (Regulatory Access Authorization Database). Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. In lieu of a degree, 7 years of direct, related experience will be considered. The experience must include system administration along with an in-depth understanding of the subject matter outlined in the responsibilities above. Proven effective leadership skills to communicate with and direct work of others that will ensure safety and produce successful results. Technical Designer

The Technical Designer functions as project leader in directing Technical Design work on a single contract or project. Working from information at the proposal, early contract or final design stages, this individual functions as the interface between various engineering departments and Project Management. This role falls within our Design Engineering organization and requires working closely with engineers, proposal managers, project managers, project engineers, and shop personnel. The scope of work includes boiler and environmental products as well as related auxiliary equipment such as flues and ducts, piping, fans, tanks, steel, etc. This individual may be a in a highly specialized field such as Pressure Vessel Engineering performing ASME code calculations for compliance with ASME boiler codes, boiler drum internals specialist, etc. Utilize the latest 2D and 3D CAD technology (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or E3D) to prepare basic arrangement drawings, 3D models, and assembly/details for basic component parts. Calculate expansion movements, clearances for equipment and heating surfaces, secondary supports, stiffeners, sootblower pipe design, pressure part calculations (PVD program), etc. Translate/apply design requirements from CAD data base, contract information sheets, customer specifications, proposal drawings, P&ID's, flow diagrams and other data into actual product design or details. Determine appropriate views, sections, and orientation on drawings to be made for the purpose of showing necessary information in the most effective manner. Develop raw material requirements for Procurement orders for pressure and non-pressure parts to be utilized by company purchasing to place material orders & assembly component orders for fabrication. Perform the checking function on all types of drawings, including verification that the arrangement/detail drawings fulfill the requirements or conditions defined in the design specified, and that they comply with all applicable company and industry standards. Verify drawing accuracy concerning such items as dimensions, fits and tolerances. Review and comment on engineering schedules and attends weekly status meetings. Assist others within his/her group with problems when supervisor is unavailable. Determine boiler field weld locations for all pressure parts. Develop plant arrangements to direct Customer A/E (Architect/Engineer) in placement of building structures and equipment beyond scope of company. Make drawing assignments for Tech Designers assigned to his project. Monitor assigned work to meet schedule requirements and assist in training new personnel. Assigned as field liaison engineer during construction of a project. Oversee offshore engineering on a task or project basis ensuring quality and schedule metrics are met serving as a lead Tech Design resource on a project. Responsible for the overall execution of any and all work assigned that is to be executed out of the offshore/global Tech Design team as a lead resource. Frequently required to travel domestically and internationally to Customer's A/E to perform 3D model reviews/presentations with Customer, manufacturing shops or job sites.
