Sr. Project Manager- B&W Solar Energy

The Project Manager for B&W Solar Energy, Inc. will support assigned domestic projects and will plan, coordinate, direct, and execute all day to day project activities according to set timelines and budget milestones. This position will require the PM to be proactive in the proposal and costing phase of the project, while coordinating resources with the Sales/Business Developmnt and Proposal/Estimating groups(s). This position will be the primary owner of project execution, responsible for maintaining or increasing As Sold Project Margin, while keeping safety and quality in the forefront of all involved. Drive a Target Zero safety culture, believes that safety is paramount to B&W. Support the proposal teams on the development of accurate bids assuring reliable cost build up and legitimate execution plan that can meet the proposed schedule. Provide leadership for weekly meetings with the project team throughout the design, procurement, and construction phases of the project, on-site Construction meetings and weekly customer meetings. Organize and provide managerial leadership for projects. Participate in negotiations on contract changes for projects Manage project superintendents. Work with the safety team to develop risk assessments and HASPs, identify and implement best practices, give jobsite safety briefings, and toolbox talks throughout the project. Ensure quality program is effectively implemented for the project. Complete post project critiques and identify lessons learned. Work with the project controls and scheduling teams to track and forecast project progress, costs, and forecast and provide update reports to management and customers. Write Purchase Authorization Requests. Manage cash flow and achieve expected cash position. Develop business case for project procurement strategy. Interpret contract and project requirements to develop project controls plans. Lead in the development of project work breakdown structure. Effect a smooth transition from proposal to contract stage.
