OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Site Reliability Engineer for our Marine Cloud Team in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will ensures the integrity of Garmin's production environment is maintained and that all releases into the environment are well-organized, communicated, and managed. Build out and maintain the Marine Azure Cloud infrastructure while supporting the Engineering team's needs. Essential FunctionsLead process improvements in our application lifecycle and release processEstablish and provide training to development teams on operational process and automations that promote the software integrity and stabilityLead design/definition activities for moderate- and high-complexity systems, features, and/or processCoordinate and improve monitoring practices across software applications and infrastructureChampion the shift-left culture of reliability and delivery performance within software development teamsMonitor and support moderate- and high-complexity software releasesCultivate a healthy culture of post-incident activities throughout the organizationBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrates proficiency supporting moderately complex Linux and/or Windows based server installations based on environmentDemonstrates proficiency with Linux and/or Windows based scriptingDemonstrates knowledge and experience working with version control system such as GIT / SubversionDemonstrates proficient knowledge of analysis, design and configuration of complex multi-tiered server applicationsDemonstrates proficient familiarity with SDLC, Quality Standards, and Best PracticesDesired QualificationsExperience with scaling cloud native applications in large, high-availability environmentsExperience with Infrastructure as Code such as Bicep, Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Chef, PuppetExperience with CDN Providers such as Akamai/CloudflareExperience with observability tools such as Uptrends, Splunk, KibanaExperience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, KafkaExperience with data storage technologies such as SQL databases, Azure Data Lake, Document Storage or NoSQL databases like Azure CosmosGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
