Essential FunctionsDraft completion documents that are required for certification of aviation software according to RTCA DO-178B/DO-178CConduct basic Software Quality Assurance audits according to instructionApply engineering tools and scripts to aid in the completion of document or audit tasksAdminister the release and Engineering Change Order (ECO) of documents related to software, according to Document Control proceduresReview software documents for accuracy and compliance, including the review of system level software parts such as loader cardsWork with Software Engineering teams and internal certification approvers to resolve audit and documentation issuesProvide Software Configuration Management (SCM) function by building and releasing software executables for productionLeverage basic knowledge of requirements, programming, and software testing for RTCA DO-178B/DO-178C to thoroughly document and audit workApply standards and procedures using appropriate engineering tools to document and implement work in an organized mannerBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrated ability to learn how to use and apply engineering tools to complete well defined basic tasks and/or projectsSuperior organizational, analytical skills, time management and follow-up skills with keen attention to detail and qualityDemonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word & ExcelDesired QualificationsOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)Experience in software processes or auditingGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
