OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Process Engineer 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for creating basic tooling, routings, and basic process instructions in a team-oriented environment.The Mechanical Assembly Team (MAT) is responsible for the unit level assembly and packaging of Garmin products. Most of the units are assembled in a work cell environment by manual methods of assembly. The Process Engineer's main responsibility is to design work areas that produce the highest quality product, in the shortest amount of time, using the most economical method, while delivering a product that exceeds the customer's expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for creating basic tooling, routings, and basic process instructions in a team-oriented environment.The Electrical Engineering Team (EET) is responsible for the calibration and performance verification processes for Garmin products produced in the Olathe, KS facility. The units are typically calibrated and tested using automated equipment due to the quantity and complexity of the test steps. The Process Engineer's responsibility is to assemble and maintain the test equipment and procedures, while monitoring test metrics to identify opportunities to improve throughput.
