Sports Development Manager

Visit Macon is seeking a goal-oriented, competitive, detailed self-starter to fill the role of Sports Development Manager. The Sports Development Manager is tasked with building and maintaining relationships with sports events that are already scheduled in Macon, while aggressively adding to that roster of events. A successful candidate will be someone personable who can work with the entire Visit Macon team, sports venues in Macon, and event owners/operators to bring additional visitors and room nights to the community through sports events of all types. Experience in sales, hospitality and sports is a plus, but not required. The Sports Development Manager role is generally scheduled Monday-Friday, 8-5, but based on events, there may be some instances when night and weekend work will be necessary.
