The US West Region is looking to bring onboard a motivated Senior Transportation Engineer/ Technical Design Lead- Bridges to partner with our Market Leader and Business Leader to advance all aspects of the expansion of GHD's Bridges practice throughout the Region. Bridges have been part of the GHD Highways, Roads, and Bridges (HRB) Business Group (BG) since its initial roll-out. Our practice has matured to a level that requires acute attention to bridges and a specific strategy developed to take advantage of our connection to the highways/roads, rail, and trail arenas of the transportation market. Bridges includes transportation type structures including retaining walls, noise walls and related transportation structures. GHD has exposure to these arenas through the Federal, State, Municipal and private sectors. This position includes active participation in US West technical and project delivery forums and an opportunity to support the vision for growth within the US West Region and the company. This position will be based out of one of our Southern California offices (LA, Irvine, Long Beach, San Diego). Specific responsibilities in this role will include: Strategy and Business Planning Technical execution, planning and budgeting for the Bridges practice. Management and leadership for oversight of the current bridge elements in active delivery of projects in the West from initial concept studies through construction documents and delivery. Support the development of annual tactical plans aligned with the overall strategic plan for the region. With the help of others, support the addition of bridge expertise and capacity in the West.
