GENERAL SUMMARYThe Office-based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) Registered Nurse is a position with the Massachusetts General Hospital Program for Substance Use and Addiction Services (PSAS), hospital-wide program to improve access to evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) care. This position will provide care in two settings 1) 28 hours/week in the Internal Medicine Associates, providing SUD care integrated not a primary care setting and 2) 12 hours/week providing SUD specialty care in the co-located Bridge & HOPE Clinics. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for patients with SUD. This role collaborates all members of the care team to ensure that patient care is coordinated, comprehensive, and that care transitions are seamless. This is a full-time position and reports to the Nurse Managers in both practice locations.Internal Medicine AssociatesInternal Medicine Associates (IMA) at Massachusetts General Hospital is an adult primary care practice committed to working with patients and their families to help them take an active and educated role in their treatment.Bridge ClinicThe Bridge Clinic mission is to bridge the treatment gap by providing on-demand, compassionate care to all patients struggling with substance use. This transitional clinic works to engage and stabilize high-risk patients before connecting them to long-term community-based care. The Bridge Clinic offers walk-in and appointment-based services including addiction pharmacotherapy, peer support and groups, treatment/resource coordination, mental health care, and safe use/harm reduction education.HOPE ClinicThe HOPE Clinic (Harnessing support for Opioid and substance use disorders in Pregnancy and Early childhood) provides care for pregnant people with substance use disorder and their infants from conception through early childhood.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.
