As a Substation Engineering - Physical Design engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our high-voltage electric grid system, which operates from 69kV to 500kV. This oppurtunity will be involved with greenfield and brownfield projects, data center related projects, and renewable generation interconnect projects, to name a few. This includes developing engineering packages, performing calculations, conducting analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. 4. **Independence and Adaptability** : You’ll exercise independent judgment, evaluating and selecting engineering techniques and criteria. You’ll also adapt to moderately complex challenges, making necessary modifications to achieve optimal results. 5. **Document Review and Collaboration** : You’ll prepare and review critical substation documents, such as one-line diagrams, general arrangements, elevations, conduit and foundation plans, cable schedules, ground grid plans, and bills of materials. Collaboration with other disciplines, including grading plan development, steel structures, and bus design, will be essential. 6. **Site Visits and Modeling** : Engage in site visits to support construction activities and asset owners. Additionally, experience with modeling tools (preferably Microstation and/or AutoCAD) will be advantageous.
