DepartmentPATHOLOGY AND LABORATORY MED (IN-PATH-IUINA) Department InformationThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Indiana University and IU Health Physicians is comprised of over 250 individuals working together to achieve success in fulfilling the tripartite mission. The department has over 100 faculty members with a primary appointment in pathology, 80 of whom are dually employed pathologists and PhD clinical scientists. Pathology has a combined operating budget of nearly $60MM, comprised of clinical revenues, foundation funding, contracts and grants, and various other ancillary funding sources. The department has a strong footprint in clinical education with allied health programs in medical laboratory science, histotechnology and cytotechnology.
