Job Title Chief Engineer Job Description Summary Chief Engineer is responsible for the effective daily leadership of his/her staff, managing the engineering program to the highest level of quality work and customer service as well as the administration of the engineering department in alignment with the management team, the C&W engineering platform, and client expectations. Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: TranSystems’ Atlanta, Georgia office has an opportunity for an Engineer 1 to join our Roadway Practice. This Engineer 1 will be a member of our roadway group and will assist in various tasks. All work will be in collaboration with other engineers, technicians, planners, and surveyors. Candidates with a background in preliminary engineering or development of detailed plans and specification are preferred; and must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects General Duties & Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. Plan preparation. Quantity calculation. Geometric design. Drainage design. MOT, specifications, cost estimates and other related tasks. Microstation, InRoads / Open Roads, MS Office and other design software will be used. Qualifications What you bring to our firm: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program. Experience with MicroStation/InRoads; Open Roads Design experience is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Programs. Familiarity with GDOT plan preparation requirements for roadway projects.  Experience with GA Municipalities preferred.
