Prepare and file various tax-related reports, business license renewals, and conduct annual projects such as unclaimed property. Audit expense reports for compliance with company policies as well as ensuring the appropriate G/L coding for GAAP and tax deductibility purposes. Set up and maintain non-trade vendors, collect W-9s from vendors, and prepare and file annual 1099s. Assist with the year-end financial statement audit as well as materials provided by client for tax purposes.   Qualifications: Minimum of Associate’s degree preferred; 5+ years in a fast-paced accounting department with demonstrated ability to reason through accounting concepts, tax rules, and other issues. Specific General Ledger experience and/or formal classroom accounting training a plus. Strong Excel skills required. Ability to understand accounting transactions and computer software applications.  Strong attention to detail is necessary as well as the ability to understand complex concepts.
