The Production Manager will be responsible for:Lead the daily operations and continuous improvement efforts within the value stream, ensuring clear communication of SQDCI performance objectives to all team members.Guide the value stream team comprising production leaders, planners, manufacturing techs, and associates, fostering a visible and safe environment for active participation and hands-on problem-solving.Develop, monitor, and report visual metrics and KPIs, promptly addressing any issues, implementing improvements, and enhancing process control while ensuring understanding and accountability across the value stream.Drive the value stream gemba walk, utilizing problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and devise effective countermeasures for deviations from daily targets.Maintain optimal staffing levels through strategic hiring, disciplinary actions, and utilization of overtime, aiming to build a highly skilled and customer-focused team while fostering positive employee relations and cultural diversity.Act as a catalyst for change, eliminating waste throughout the manufacturing operation via Lean methodology deployment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through employee involvement and recognition.Recommend and implement changes to enhance production capability, tooling, and staffing, supporting production plans and cost-effective procedures, while facilitating new process and product development initiatives.Facilitate effective cross-training for value stream associates and backups, ensuring seamless operations and encouraging a proactive approach to problem-solving and quality assurance.Uphold strict adherence to established processes related to Safety/Environmental programs, Quality Management System, etc., promoting a culture of quality and excellence.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
