Essential Duties and Responsibilities Completes incoming and final inspection for cosmetic and geometric tolerances using loupes, drop gauges, calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, etc.Reviews and executes project instructions and preliminary specifications to identify and plan requirements for manufacturing jobs and/or process development to ensure customer needs and schedules are met.Prepares tooling for grinding, polishing or measurement setups. Conventional processing of near net spheres, maintaining radius of curvature using test plates, spherometers and interferometry. Running up to 10 spindles at the same time.Records and computes process data on laboratory forms for engineers. Maintains detailed notes and records of the work performed. Carries out routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment – keeping them clean and properly functioning.Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a precision optics manufacturing shop (Preferred) or precision tool and die environment.
