Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.Essential FunctionsManages and completes the University’s annual Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance program.Acts as representative to and collaborates with campus departments and schools to ensure critical adherence to University and PCI Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) in order to protect confidential information collected via payment cards.Serves as the University resource on PCI compliance and Merchant Services.Builds and manages relationships with eCommerce stakeholders and vendors.Opens and closes Merchant IDs for both the University and USA Health.Obtains and understands procedures surrounding processing, storing, and transmitting of cardholder data at the departmental and University levels.Identifies and neutralizes risk areas for each merchant, and documents the existence of all cardholder data to verify that no cardholder data exists outside of the defined cardholder data environment.Identifies and understands best practices around security and PCI compliance.Develops, implements, and conducts online PCI compliance training, policy execution, and existing vendors’ attestation of compliance annually as required by the PCI DSS.Works closely with third party service providers, Computer Services Center, and campus merchants to review and help architect new, and improve existing, software applications that handle, process, or store payment card data.Provides guidance to campus merchants for developing the required PCI documentation for existing infrastructure to identify data flows and critical support systems as well as credit card processing options.Assists in determining the best solution to meet merchants’ needs.Manages the University’s Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) consulting relationship.Co-manages and maintains accurate merchant database including merchant IDs, contacts, billing codes, terminal numbers, etc. as required by the PCI DSS.Finds efficiencies and helps establish and maintain sound business processes in revenue collection processes, given the changing technological landscape.Provides analytics and manages merchant projects related to banking products and services.Collaborates with Business Office staff and other departments on credit card account reconciliations.Provides exceptional customer service and promote goodwill for the University of South Alabama.Opens and closes bank accounts and adds necessary Treasury Services features to accounts as needed.Files monthly bank, custody, and bonds statements on a timely basis.Initiates Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) under specific amounts and provide backup to necessary parties.Researches unknown EFTs and provides EFT information and services to various departments as needed.Initiates department payments through Concur.Co-manages ACH Positive Pay, Bill Pay Manager, Check Image Viewer, AIR Vendor Portal and other banking platforms.Works closely with the Director of Treasury Management to initiate various transaction types and keep all reports/backups updated.Works with Accounts Payable staff to resolve any issues that may arise.Reviews requests to establish incoming/outgoing EFT transfers.Reviews daily transactions and instructs individuals on procedures for compliance with program requirements.Answers correspondence by phone, email, or mail.Provides various monthly reports to the Director of Treasury Management.Assists the Director of Treasury Management in developing and accomplishing long and short-range operational goals related to Treasury Management.Implements change efforts through collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.Performs special projects as assigned by the Director of Treasury Management.Regular and prompt attendance.Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.Related duties as required.
