JOB DESCRIPTION Basic Job Functions Assist Field Engineer in verifying site layout and grading to ensure conformance with project specifications and requirements. Use GPS Rover to take shots on grade for quantity tracking. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Accurately and consistently survey ongoing cut & fill for quantity verification. Accurately monitor critical construction activities (i.e. MSE Walls, Paving Grade, Pipe Installations) Confirm accuracy of critical layout and immediately report any discrepancies or grade busts to Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager. Minimum Job Requirements At least 1 year experience as a Grade Checker/Surveyor. Must have GPS and Survey Equipment experience, preference for heavy civil construction experience. Demonstrate an ability to read & understand plan drawings and be able to accurately apply information in the field for construction purposes.
