Responsible for technical delivery of power delivery engineering projects or tasks. Prepare calculations, studies, and reports for substation and power systems projects meeting internal and client standards and requirements. Apply engineering design principles and practices including formulas. Work with small project teams to execute substation projects. Responsible for providing weekly updates to Sr. team leaders and/or project managers on milestone progress, estimated completion dates including percent completion of activities and supporting information to monitor project progress.QualificationsWe are seeking the following qualifications: 7+ years of experience in the Substation/Power Delivery field. Experience with high voltage substation design (15kV through 500kV) activities such as preparing one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams, physical layouts, electrical elevations, plans (equipment, grounding, and raceway), and bills of materials including selection of non-standard equipment. Ability to interpret and apply standards including IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client standards. Experience with power system calculations (AC station service, DC battery sizing, and Voltage Drop/Cable Selection) is a plus. Knowledge of substation physical equipment is a plus. Knowledge of Protection and Controls design is a plus. B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. PE license is required.The pay range for this California position is $130,000.00- $150,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
