In this role, the Tax Manager will be responsible for responsible for the tax work on domestic and offshore special purpose vehiclesResponsibilities:The Tax Manager will:Calculate/review the necessary tax adjustments (including wash sales, constructive sales, market discount, outside K-1 pick-ups etc.)Review tax returns prepared by outside accounting firm, outsourced complianceReview partnership allocations and K-1s prepared by outside accounting firmPrepare withholding forms (W-9s and W-8s) for a variety of entitiesAssist in preparation of FATCA and CRS reporting for multiple JurisdictionsAnswer tax notices from federal and state tax agenciesPrepare tax estimates for outside investorsCoordinate and review (alongside other back-office teams) corporate action bookingsReview new securities traded and advise on appropriate bookings by Operations and Middle OfficeWork alongside members of the tax structuring team and coordinate information as it relates to US tax complianceResearch and apply new or proposed US tax laws to the fund.Assist in preparation of ad-hoc projects and requestsQualifications:3+ years of Tax experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, and/or a related fieldCPAExperience in a Private Equity settingDesired Skills:Experience with Credit ProductsDesired Skills and Experience* 3+ years of Private Equity Tax experience* CPA required* Experience with credit products a plus* Work closely with third party accountants and financial advisors
