With our blend of technical accounting expertise and analytical acumen, we partner with Sales, Legal and Professional services team during contract negotiations through ensuring revenue is recognized per ASC 606 guidelines. The Role:The AVP Revenue Accounting will be managing a team of 2 people located in New York. The team is going through a finance transformation and the AVP Revenue Accounting will support the team during this journey of process rationalization and automation.Responsibilities: - Assist in oversight of MA Revenue Accounting team- Drive process and system automation via the usage of various leading-edge technology tools - Perform analytical reviews on Moody's revenue and oversee balance sheet reconciliations- Partner with Corporate Planning and the business on key items impacting revenue and revenue recognition- Manage deliverables for both internal and external audit.- Assist in the preparation of revenue disclosures for external reporting- Continuous engagement with internal stakeholders regarding opportunities to improve our data and processes- Ensure the revenue is accurately and timely recognized for the team under the AVP's responsibilityQualifications:- Degree in accounting and a minimum of 6 years of experience (minimum of manager or equivalent level attained in large public accounting firm or relevant experience at a large publicly traded company). A combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred- CPA required- Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and application to complex contractual arrangements- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complicated accounting transactions and disclosure items to non-accounting members of senior management- Strategic thinker/ability to effectuate meaningful change/efficiencies. - Organization, analysis, and a meticulous eye for detail are the core of your being, helping you navigate through challenges with grace and precision.- Experience using Power BI; Alteryx; SAP S/4HANA a plus - Ability to coach/develop junior accounting staffFor US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$133,100 - [[$192,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
