Leadership role in producing an industry leading cost base and market competitive pricing for CEVAs Air freight product.Key Accountabilities Develop and execute innovative approaches to handling existing and new lines of export/import volumes - that will ensure both the reduction of direct costs and the enhancement of net revenue and yields. Continual analysis and management of consolidation mix to ensure maximum tactical profitability. Continual analysis and management of import break-bulk / De-Consolidation program to ensure timely recoveries, breakdown and freight availability. Optimize procurement cost through effective local buying / negotiations. Manage effective capacity planning in line with corporate carrier strategy, thus ensuring the most cost effective and service orientated routings. Ongoing vendor management - ensure periodic performance reviews conducted to ensure optimal service and performance levels Prepare and effectively manage Air Gateway within budgeted operating costs. Use acquired job knowledge to interact with other departments and stations in order to investigate customer or shipping needs as well as problem identification and solution generation. Manage by continual improvement to achieve targets set through Gateway Balanced Scorecard. Ensure KPIs are continually reviewed to ensure effective operational management. Maintain and ensure timely completion of Air Export/Import Balanced scorecard. Ensure smooth and effective implementation of new business and consolidation destinations Review and reconcile CASS and all management financial reports. Ensure disputes are resolved with carriers in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain accurate achieved cost database by lane and work with the sales and pricing organization to ensure market competitive pricing is provided. In conjunction with Senior Manager, TSA Compliance - effective management of screening operation. Close communication and calibration with Air Leaders in downline stations and overseas Appraise employee performance though effective reviews. Knowledge, Experience & SkillsEducation: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree (BA, BSci) in Business discipline preferred Experience: 10 Years airfreight experience in High volume Airfreight export environment Specialist Knowledge & Skills: Airline ULD types and aircraft. Lad Master Experience in Freighter types and loading. Above standard knowledge of loading and BUP process. Our operations experts located across the globe in our 6 Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost. Based in one of CEVA Lead Logistics' regional Control Towers and reporting to the regional Control Tower Manager, the CLL Control Tower Operations Manager will coordinate and lead an operational team dedicated to one of CLL's LLP / 4PL customers. This role ensures operational services are executed in an effective and efficient manner across several transport service providers and different modes of transport, while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting performance and cost targets.
