A full time and 100% Breast Imaging Faculty Position in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Breast imagers faculty have no responsibilities in other sections and do not participate in general call. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. The selected candidate will work at two UC Health breast centers, which are double accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and the American College of Radiology (ACR) as Centers of Excellence. All facilities have state-of-the-art breast imaging suites including a mobile mammography unit, Hologic equipment, Philips breast ultrasound, and PACS with integrated voice recognition software, Epic EMR, and MyChart. The Breast Imaging section has robust clinical practice, performing approximately 30,000 studies a year. The Section of Breast Imaging is a collegial team of 7 Breast Radiologists with various backgrounds, interests, and research, fostering a positive and exciting workplace. All our faculty are exceptional educators and recently fellowship trained or have at least 25 years' experience in breast imaging. We have national leaders in breast imaging involved in the ABR, ACR, RSNA, SBI and BIFC and researchers involved in ACRIN trials. The team is integrated and co-located with multi-disciplinary breast specialists in the UC Barrett Cancer Center and West Chester Hospital, working closely with excellent technologists, breast surgical oncologists, pathologists, medical and radiation oncologists to provide comprehensive breast care. The Department of Radiology is a group of 50 radiologists established in the 1940s, which accepts 8 residents per year. The Breast Imaging section is very active in education and offers 2 Breast Imaging Fellowship positions per year. All applicants must be committed to providing exceptional clinical care and teaching. Our affiliated University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and other UC Health facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art radiography, CT, and MR equipment, and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. The Radiology Cardiothoracic section has a close working relationship and interacts with expert cardiologists, pulmonologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and subspecialists in other fields of medicine. Interdisciplinary conferences encompass a broad spectrum of comprehensive structural heart programs, lung programs, including interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, lung cancer screening, and general pulmonary pathology. A full medical 3D printing service supports our section, and our clinical colleagues benefit from printed or virtual 3D models for their complex cases. We see the full spectrum of pathology as part of a Level 1 Trauma center and are home to the city's major cancer center. We also participate in a thriving and growing Lung Cancer Screening Program. UCMC is making huge investments in medical research. We have a strong basic science division with strength in MRI physics. Research coordinator and biostatistical support for clinical faculty research projects are provided.The Cardiothoracic Imaging section is involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows from radiology and other specialties such as internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. We have a vibrant residency program with 8 residents joining us every year. We have a non-ACGME accredited cardiothoracic fellowship program, where we accept one fellow per year. This position may offer flexibility for options of fully remote or Hybrid Schedule to include on-site and remote shifts available.
