Launched in 2022, Character products are available DTC at withcharacter.com and in hundreds of brick & mortar retail stores across the US. The role:We are looking for an outstanding MBA intern to tackle product management and strategic projects that play a key role in our growth plans for the business this year. You'll work closely with our CEO and Chief Brand Officer on projects to support our expansion into big box retail stores and you'll act as our product manager designing and launching the next evolution of our digital how-to guides and videos and our expert support service for do-it-yourself home improvement projects. We're looking for candidates open to working in Chicago, IL in a flexible hybrid model with travel to the office twice a week based on team needs. Our internships are paid and 10-12 weeks in duration and begin in May or June 2024 depending on the student's academic schedule. What you'll do:Project manage the operational and marketing milestones for Character's upcoming launch in 1000+ big box stores this fall coordinating our manufacturing team, retail sales team and other partnersLead product management for the next evolution of Character's Expert Support service including the customer-facing SMS text and video help services and the expert staffing and query routing needed to ensure timely and helpful responsesLead product management for the next evolution of Character's digital how-to guides and videosCollaborate with strategic brand partners on limited edition product launches and other partnership marketing campaigns Work closely with the CEO on other strategic projects including product development, retail expansion and fundraisingQualifications & preferred experience:Currently enrolled in an MBA programAble to commit to working for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2024 beginning May/June 20243+ years experience in analytical, financial, product management or strategic roles (preferred)Experience working in a startup or other fast growing organization (preferred)The right candidate:Is a trailblazer.
