Pr ovides technical leadership and oversight on the management on projects; works with other managers, environmental professionals/planners, and staff in developing scope of work, budgets, schedules, and plans for environmental related work. Participate in trade shows and be active in industry/relevant associations, including but not limited to, serving on committees, etc. Prepare/coordinate proposals in conjunction with the marketing and technical staff. Assist with "Go/No Go" decisions for responding to RFP's. Marshall the necessary resources on proposal opportunities which may involve developing a proposal strategy, writing portions of the proposal, and coordinating efforts of other technical writers to develop a winning proposal. Perform other responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of environmental projects and BD efforts. Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering with 15-20 years of demonstrated managerial-level planning, environmental compliance, and project management experience of large-scale initiatives. This must include previous business development and client management experience and demonstrated ability to grow and manage client relations (serving a large group of internal/external clients). Professional registration - LEP, PE, PG, CGWP, LSRP or other related professional registrations highly desirable. Strong understanding of state and federal environmental regulations and the effect of the regulations on business operations and property development. Must be able to generate new business from existing and new clients. Knowledge and understanding of seller/doer business model within environmental/industry/multidisciplinary firm. Ability to coordinate resource needs for environmental project success and work collaboratively with teams in multiple disciplines and offices.
