The Shipping & Receiving Operator I will provide services pertaining to the handling, warehousing, shipping, and receiving of materials. They will be responsible for the daily operations, organization, and sanitation activities to meet customer expectations for outbound and inbound products at our Hereford, TX facility. This position is often the last line of defense for food safety and quality. Willing to train and learn van shipment completion, pulling lines and staging, bulk load-out, shipping paperwork, our receiving/inbound process, organic grains fulfillment, and driving yard trucks and trailers.SHIPPING & RECEIVING OPERATOR 1 QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED working in an industrial setting is a plus. Forklift operating skills (on the job training is provided). Safety training is required and provided by Panhandle Milling in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training. Fall Protection training. Ability to utilize computers for documenting job tasks. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, multitask, and able to read and write in English. Ability to work unsupervised. Available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and shift work may be required. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and walking on concrete floor. Repeated lifting of up to 50lbs throughout shift Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold and hot temperatures. Extreme climate or climate variation. Heat exceeding 100 degrees and a low of 40 degrees. Changes of >30 degrees within a shift. Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.
