Engineering Technician I - ConstructionPSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Lab Technician II to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Woodinville, Washington office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!How you'll make an impact at Intertek: Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures Operates testing equipment and conducts geotechnical and construction materials laboratory testing, (example: Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Unconfined Compressive Strength, CBR, Swell, Standard and Modified Proctors, etc.) and provides assessment of data through reporting Works utilizing drawings, specifications and diagrams Uses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks Make detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of results Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results Communicates effectively with client and project teams Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work What it takes to be successful in this role: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred 2+ years' experience in Construction Materials Lab Testing is required ACI and WABO certifications are highly preferred Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required Must have Basic Math, Calculator and Computer Skills Must be able to read and understand work plans Must be able to work off shifts and overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound Ability to kneel and squat occasionally Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights Benefits & Perks: Ability to grow with the Company (over 100 locations with opportunity for growth/advancement) Day to day variety of work Ability to work on both small and large projects Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurances 401k with company match Tuition reimbursement Why work for Intertek-PSI?Professional Service Industries, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transit testing process for their R&D/Manufacturing of medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain all transit testing equipment, including calibration and maintenance schedules.Testing Environment would include: Temp/Humidity chambers, vibration table, drop tester, Blue dye integrity testing, package bubble lead testing, elevation simulation with a pressurized chamber and visual inspection.Plan, execute, and document transit testing protocols for new and existing medical devices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing strategies and protocols that meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.Analyze test results and provide recommendations for design improvements or corrective actions as needed.Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations, standards, and industry trends related to transit testing of medical devices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree a plus. Minimum HS DiplomaMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in transit testing or quality assurance within the medical device industry.Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO 11607 and ASTM D4169.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
