Job description / summaryThe Budget Analyst Associate will have overall responsibility for creation of study budgets based on detailed knowledge of the study protocol requirements, additional guidance from the sponsor, and input from assigned key staff. Description:Texas Biomed is seeking a Biocontainment Program Coordinator to provide daily operational and technical support for a large multi-investigator BSL3 and BSL4 lab operation. This person will also maintain optimal biocontainment facilities and equipment, ensures equitable lab access, and streamlines communications with facilities and other departments.The Role:• Develop radio schedule for BSL4 users, assist with operation and management of VHP, autoclave, and dunk tank as needed per direction of Biocontainment Program Manager.• Serve as the lab access scheduling coordinator for faculty, scientists, technical support, facilities personnel, and biosafety officers and should have a general understanding of each area.• Liaise with the ABSL3/ABSL4 Directors, Biosafety Officers and Responsible Official/Alternate Responsible officials to ensure that scientific research needs are considered in collaboration with meeting the safety requirements of the ABSL3/4 facility operations.• Monitor facility use and maintenance of lab equipment; monitor equipment purchases and service contracts; oversee new equipment installation, scheduling and use of core equipment, equipment training events, and laboratory modifications; perform annual equipment inventory and certifications; coordinate installation and training for new equipment and laboratory modifications.• Maintain entry log books for the BSL3 and BSL4 laboratories, as well freezer access logs and BSL4 suite usage log• Work in conjunction with Biocontainment Program Manager and Biocontainment training analysts to ensure individuals are cleared for entry and adhere to training guidelines for lab entry.• Maintain, organize, and ensure a clean laboratory and locker room space, supplies are stocked, and weekly facilities maintenance is performed; facilitate disposal of autoclaved waste; clean and upkeep major equipment; order supplies; maintain databases.Our Ideal Candidate:• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
