The EDEN Lab is part of the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. The position will be in person with a start date in the summer 2024. This position is a one-year term appointment, but a candidate interested in a two- or three-year commitment is preferred.Job DescriptionDr. Waller's research is in developmental psychopathology with a focus on understanding risk for externalizing problems (e.g., aggression, violence, callous-unemotional traits) beginning prenatally with continued data collection across infancy and childhood. The lab uses a combination of interdisciplinary methods to investigate individual and environmental risk factors for externalizing problems, including through report measures, observational assessments, neuroimaging, genetically-informed studies, and assessment of psychophysiology (e.g., attention and physiological regulation). Duties: The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including working with Dr. Waller (PI), the Senior Research Coordinator, and collaborators within and outside of the University of Pennsylvania. Research-related tasks will include working on a newly-funded R01 and assisting in the preparation of IRBs, the hiring, training, managing, and mentoring a team of research assistants with Dr. Waller, providing ongoing administrative support in the recruitment of participants (children and parents), preparing experimental materials, and assisting in the collection and cleaning of data for ongoing studies.
