We are currently seeking a DueDiligence Practitioner to manage, support, and deliver transactional advisoryservices for a diverse array of clients nationally. This is a full-time position located in our Parsippany, NJ office.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:Serve as a key member of the due diligence team to work collaboratively across the company supporting a wide variety of clients with numerous challenging projects.Support the development and integration of sustainability, environmental justice, climate resilience, and ESG into our transactional due diligence practice.Serve in a primary role to lead teams and personally conduct thorough ASTM Phase I site assessments to evaluate environmental risks associated with real estate transactions.Serve in a secondary role to perform regulatory compliance reviews and assessments aligned with due diligence and other projects.Analyze geological and environmental data to identify potential hazards or contamination on sites.Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather and interpret data for accurate risk assessments.Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders to address concerns and provide solutions.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices.Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in conducting due diligence activities.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of due diligence processes.SKILLS/EXPERIENCEMinimum of Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.8-12 years of experience in conducting due diligence activities, preferably in the real estate or environmental consulting industry.Certification or licensure in relevant areas (e.g., Professional Geologist, Certified Environmental Professional) preferred but not required.Strong understanding of ASTM site assessment standards and methodologies.Proficiency in interpreting geological and environmental data to assess risks and impacts.Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance, including but not limited to, EPA regulations.Ability to perform regulatory compliance reviews and assessments related to due diligence and other compliance projects.Ability to support permitting projects and environmental compliance reporting.Ability to support preparation of sustainability, environmental justice, climate resilience, and ESG reports.Proven skills in constructive client engagement, resulting in successful project outcomes.Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details.Ability to present to and support clients with negotiating with regulators.Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
