Job Responsibilities:Mechanical Engineer is responsible for complete product development including:- System level mechanical product concepts and architectures,- Detailed product and parts design,- Vendor technical interface for protype builds as well as production assistance,- Assembly and validation of new designs, - Writes and maintains product related documentation,- Collaborates with product managers on future product developments,Required Skills and Capabilities:The successful candidate for this position will have the following key skills: - Hold a 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience,- Have excellent hands-on mechanical skills,- Be fully proficient at designing with SolidWorks software,- Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in a group,- Be well organized and able to multi-task with excellent verbal and written communications skills,- Be experienced and able to use hand tools and small power tools,- Have a track record of producing designs that are cost effective and easy to assemble.- Have solid computer and typing skills and be able to use Microsoft Windows, Excel, & Word.3 to 5 years of prior experience in industrial electro-mechanical environments is a plus.
