The ability to write code in one or more programming languages, familiarity with relational database technology, such as MySQL, Oracle, or Postgres, and knowledge of cloud technologies and Infrastructure-as-Code principles is required. A strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, ability to take initiative, and attention to detail is also required. 2+ years of software engineering experience in the finance field and experience in programming with Python, MATLAB, R, and shell scripting, version control systems, such as Git, and with AWS technologies (eg, Cloudformation, EC2, ECR, ECS, Fargate, and S3) is preferred. Experience with infrastructure technologies, such as Chef and Terraform, with Linux operating system, knowledge of financial concepts and data, and knowledge of econometrics and statistics is also preferred.
