Ledgent is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the northern metro adding a Senior Accountant to their team. This role would be a great opportunity for someone who has spent 2+ years in public accounting and wants a position in private industry focused on work/life balance. This role will provide a great opportunity for exposure to full-cycle accounting (working directly under a Controller who has CPA), as well as room for advancement into a leadership position. Fully on-site. Flexible start/end time. 40 hours/week. Up to $90,000/annually. Job Duties:Learn directly from the Controller with a public accounting/CPA background top to bottom accounting (including but not limited to: Fixed Assets, G/L, journal entries, AP/AR, inventory, reconciliations, etc.)Timely completion of monthly account reconciliations, responsible for intricate account reconciliations, and oversight as a reviewer of certain account reconciliations.Accurate preparation of journal entries, including complex corporate accounting entries, as part of month-end closing process.Maintaining fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and asset additions and disposals.Preparing and reviewing accurate and timely journal entries for various transactionsAssist in year-end audit process Qualifications:4-year degree in Accounting or Finance - requiredCPA designation - highly preferred2+ years of public accounting experienceStrong Excel skillsUnderstanding of GAAP and ERP softwareAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
