The Senior Accountant will support the company's growth and business objectives by providing operational financial analysis, compiling and producing financial performance information, aiding in the preparation and delivery of high-level presentations, and providing financial visibility to management across all operations departments. This individual will report directly to the Accounting Manager of Operating Assets and will be a key player in driving process improvement and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements and requests from investors and other stakeholders.DUTIES• General Ledger/ReportingComplete general ledger ownership for operating entities, including month-end close, GL integrity, trial balance reconciliation, etc.Partner with operations colleagues to stay informed on current and upcoming project expenses; identify and book accruals as neededProduce and present timely financial reportsAnalyze financial data to identify and report on trends and key performance indicatorsResponsible for production and presentation of timely and accurate monthly reporting packages and supplementary informationCollaborate with several departments including asset management, operations, real estate, and financeEnsure purchasing processes and control procedures are followed through review and approval of project purchase orders, bills, and vendor payments• AuditsGathers information necessary for auditors to perform their audit and provides organizational context to auditorsEnsures timely submission of requested audit deliverablesGuides audit process to ensure timeliness of final reportsDistributes audit reports to internal and external stakeholders as needed• BudgetingWorks closely with the asset management and operations team leads to collaborate on budget strategy and provide relevant spend informationPartner with asset management and operations leadership to align budget/spend with core company goalsEXPERIENCE• Bachelor's degree in Accounting• CPA preferred but not required• A minimum of two years of direct experience in accounting/finance• Strong general ledger accounting skills• Experience in renewable energy operations preferred• Proficient in Microsoft Suite• NetSuite experience preferred• Attention to detail• Ability to multi-task• Excellent communication skills• Skills/ Personal Attributes:High degree of initiative and accountabilityCreative thinker and problem solverPositive attitude and ability to motivate colleaguesCommitted to the goals of the organizationIn pursuit of personal and team growthModels high standards of ethical and respectful behaviorCOMPENSATIONThe position offers a competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses.
